I had the wonderful opportunity to accompany Matthew Christopher on two of his Abandoned America photography Workshops to the Scranton Lace Company in Scranton Pennsylvania.  In 2002, when the business was no longer profitable, the compound of buildings, which once accommodated 1,400 workers, was abandoned and left to fall into ruin.

It was phenomenal to experience the calm and serenity of a place frozen in time.
